The first conference on traditional Medicine being conduted by Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) is planned to begin in Guwahati on March 2 and end on March 5.

Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister said that more than 150 participants from 17 countries are expected to participate, including delegations from business and government organizations, foreign purchasers, and health ministries.

The Union Ayush Minister announced that in addition to being physically present, official delegations from China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan would participate in the summit electronically.

The B2B conference will feature in-depth presentations and discussions on a regulatory framework for traditional medicine products and practices from the SCO and partner nations.

Seminars are also scheduled to examine products, export-import potential, and expanded business alliances with SCO member countries.

The Ayush industry will exhibit its goods and services at the Expo, together with global traditional medicine exporters and importers.

The Exhibition on Traditional Medicine aims to promote trade in Traditional Medicine among the SCO and partner nations.
